System Administrator
Job Description
- Work as part of a team of system administrators that are focused on maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Strata's compute environment.
- Ensure timely deployment of Linux operating systems, O/S and 3rd party patches to ensure systems are secure and operating efficiently.
- Work with Security and Engineering Teams to ensure systems (On-Premise and AWS) are up to date and troubleshoot when systems fall out of compliance.
- Experience with Ansible or similar tools to manage Linux systems such as patching, configuration standardization, inventory collection, application deployment, etc.
- Manage Strata's ecosystem of monitoring tools. Identify opportunities to consolidate tools. Ensure the right things are monitored and the right teams get notified.
- Working with other members of IT, ensure that all servers follow Strata's "gold standard" image. Ensure that these resources are in compliant with CIS benchmarks.
- Develop documentation, policies, and procedures to support operations and ensure cross training.
- Participate in compliance audits
- 3-5 years' experience of Linux system administration (Ubuntu/Debian, CentOS, Amazon Linux).
- 2-3 years' experience with AWS.
- Experience with Ansible.
- Experience with System/Network Monitoring tools, Open-Source (Nagios, Zabbix, LibreNMS, ELK Stack) and Enterprise (Datadog, Dynatrace)
- Knowledge of HA Proxy a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work on project teams and across departments.
- Have previously worked in regulated industries with regulatory requirements such as SOX, HIPAA, PCI, etc.
- Ability to leverage Agile methodology to plan and manage workload.
