System Administrator

Compensation Description

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $75,000 - $100,000 annually.

The Position

We’re looking for a System Administrator to join our team in Madison, WI, or San Diego, CA. This position is a new addition to the Information Systems & Informatics team. The System Administrator is responsible for supporting the organization’s enterprise-level network, server, and virtual infrastructure, as well as telecommunication systems, including both hardware and software components. The System Administer installs, configures, and manages a variety of server and computer systems in support of our Business Partners.

Requirements

• Associates degree in a computer or networking related field and/or pertinent certifications
• 3 years’ experience as a systems administrator

• Extensive experience with the Microsoft server stack including M365
• Experience with various virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V
• Experience with patching Microsoft and third-party software
• Working with Active Directory and Group Policy
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments
• Understanding of common networking protocols and LAN administration
• Experience with backup and restore applications, preferably Veeam
• SCCM and Intune experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills required

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred
• Previous experience in life sciences or validated environment preferred
