What You Will Do:
Our System Administrators are experienced professionals who provide system administration expertise to our clients. They work directly with teammates and our National Security clients to execute the following job responsibilities:
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
What You Will Need:
- An CURRENT and ACIVE TOP SECRET/SCI clearance and COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) polygraph; MUST upgrade polygraph to a FULL SCOPE (FS)
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline
- FIVE (5) years' additional system administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- FOURTEEN (14) years experience as a system engineer
- Demonstrated experience providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
- Proven ability to manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems, as well as provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
- Demonstrated experience providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Proven ability to provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Demonstrated experience providing support for the escalation and communication of status and analysis to clients and internal customers
- Demonstrated experience optimizing system operations and resource utilization, and performing system capacity analysis and planning
- Proven ability to configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
- Demonstrated experience supporting the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
- Understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Demonstrated experience analyzing and resolving complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
