 IT (Information Technology) Site Reliability – Systems Administrator (Night Shift) 

Salary: Starting $80,000/y

Summary: U-Haul is seeking a Night Shift Systems Administrator to join the IT Site Reliability team as a Windows, and Linux administrator supporting virtual servers, IIS web servers, FTP, network storage, Active Directory, and more. 

This position will cover after-hours site reliability operations from 4 PM to 12 AM MST. 

Duties: 

• Monitor critical infrastructure and applications using monitoring solutions like SolarWinds, Dynatrace, and ExtraHop 
• Support code releases done via Azure DevOps 
• Support internal and external SFTP connections via CrushFTP and PowerShell 
• Assist with hosting and troubleshooting IIS/.NET application issues alongside developers 
• Supporting virtual environments using VMware vCenter 
• Perform after-hours maintenance 
• Perform administrative tasks on Windows and Linux servers, including patching, reviewing logs, and software installation/configuration 
• Provide Active Directory support for users and computers along with managing permissions and groups 
• Provide support with network shares and permissions 
• Perform basic SQL server maintenance 
• Monitor and respond to incoming issues via Teams and email 

Preferred Skills/Knowledge:

• SFTP (CrushFTP, MoveIT/IPSwitch, GoAnywhere, etc) 
• Scripting (bash, PowerShell, Python)

• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus 
• Experience with databases is a plus 
• Experience with Azure release pipelines 
• Experience working with CI/CD deployments (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Gitlab, Travis, etc) 

Requirements: 

• 2+ years experience working with Windows Server 2012+ 
• 6+ months experience working with Linux distros like Ubuntu, RHEL, and CentOS 
• 1+ years experience working with IIS 8.5+ 
• 1+ years experience working in a virtualized environment, like vCenter/ESXi or Hyper-V 
• Basic PowerShell knowledge
