Job Description

ASRC Federal provides infrastructure support to a State Department customer located in Arlington, Virginia. Our team provides support for a campus-wide network, local and remote servers and storage devices. We are looking for a Systems Engineer to install, operate and maintain VMWare virtualization, NetApp storage, and Windows servers along with network support activities. The Systems Engineer will be onsite in Arlington, VA with the ability to telework one day per week.

• Maintain and Troubleshoot ESX VMware systems for Distance Learning Initiatives with High Availability and Fault Tolerance
• Configure and maintain Windows servers supporting Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and IIS
• Professional and working knowledge of LAN/ WAN connectivity technologies including Long Haul, Short Haul Fiber, fiber interfaces and distance lengths and Ethernet
• Configure and maintain the backup system using Commvault Software with NetApp Integration
• Maintain and Troubleshoot NetApp Storage systems
• Experience must have been acquired in a Windows-based client/server environment with the ability to successfully adapt current environment to newer versions as necessary

Requirements

• Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology field
• At least 2 years hands-on experience working with similar technologies
• CISCO CCNA OR Microsoft MCP
• Proven ability to operate and maintain a Windows server environment
• Proven ability to operate and maintain storage systems, preferably NetApp
• Good communication skills to work with end-user customers and within a team
