We are looking for a System Administrator to join our team!

The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. The SA is also primarily responsible for serving as the subject matter expert for Konami Gaming's ERP system, Pronto. The SA will manage, monitor and maintain all security access and controls for the Pronto ERP system as well as coordinate required approvals for support access. This individual will assist with Pronto system administration and maintenance, troubleshooting, training and performing basic reporting functions to assist user and departmental requirements.

Major Accountabilities:

General System Administrator Requirements

  • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Install and configure systems which support core Konami infrastructure and Pronto ERP system.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards.
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.

Operations and Support

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Provides technical support to various computer systems such as VMWare, Cisco UCS, Exchange, Active Directory, Azure and other company-wide systems.
  • Meets with users to assess needs, investigates hardware and software solutions, develops flow charts, configures new systems, monitors the use of the system, and trains end-users as required.
  • Evaluates existing business processes for improvement using existing data and systems capabilities. Develops recommendations to processes and systems based on findings.
  • Documents existing and proposed processes, procedures, and operating requirements (systems functionalities, resource requirements, etc.)

  • Reports any discrepancies, changes or recommendations, and/or problems for resolution to senior management.
  • Complies with the company's regulatory guidelines and corporate policies at all times.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding the company, products and employee information.

Maintenance/Systems Management

  • Apply OS patches and upgrades per defined schedule in coordination with IT Management, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary based on business need and direction from manager.
  • Upgrade and configure system software that supports Konami core infrastructure services and Pronto ERP system per project or operational needs.
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning and infrastructure growth requirements for core systems such as VMWare, Cisco UCS, Active Directory, Exchange and Pronto ERP infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in VMWare, Linux, or Microsoft related functional systems preferred.
  • 3-5 years of related experience as a System Administrator or equivalent role.
  • Computer proficiency in various software business applications and related infrastructure systems, and/or design and engineering experience required.
