This role sits within the Technology Experience and Services (TES) group within our Application Deployment team. This team manages the deployment of large enterprise applications as well as ad hoc technical projects. We are looking for someone who has strong technical management experience but educationally has a computer science or similar background. Someone who can manage projects but is also able to understand the complexities and get in the weeds to learn and understand application configuration and deployment when needed. Understands all aspects of system administration and support including hardware maintenance, system integration, system architecture and configuration, network stability and system performance. Acts as leader of the group on assigned projects and provides project management among team members. Has depth and breadth of experience in own discipline. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and share expertise.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Maintains schedule changes in a fast paced constantly evolving environment.
- Will be responsible for change management from a ticketing perspective in IOP.
- Creates technical & non- technical knowledge documentation.
- Schedule, coordinate and perform all server hardware, software and operating system installations and upgrades, repairing and troubleshooting issues.
- Maintain system tables; add and remove users, hosts, and printers.
- Monitor client/server load distribution and provide proactive solutions to eliminate potential configuration bottlenecks.
- Install and test system software, install third party software and smoke test software
- Perform backups and restore for various servers and other systems.
- Provide and maintain engineering plans for systems architecture and systems integration that allows for planned growth of the user community.
- Institute and maintain tight system security checks, while ensuring that the productivity of the user community is not diminished.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- 7 to 10+ years of experience with a strong documentation writing background
- Heavy internal/external customer facing experience with ability to adapt communication style to different audiences and translate technical concepts.
- Bachelorโs degree with focus in Computer science similar technology degree preferred.
- This is a remote position which requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- Physical, Cloud and Hybrid-Cloud servers
- Will support remote and onsite users.
- Sarbanes/Oxley knowledge โ many systems are SOX regulated.
- Experience with Active Directory / Group Polices / Exchange / SharePoint
- Specific Skills:
- Service Now/IOP
- Requirements Gathering
- Microsoft IIS
- Server support โ services, file permissions, share info etc.
- Programming languages Awareness
- Azure Awareness
- Microsoft SQL Awareness

Education
Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.

Salary:
National Pay Range: $73,229.50 USD-$171,631.64 USD
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.

Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
