System Administrator Job in Rochester, NY:

The Systems Administrator will assist in supporting all areas of identity and user account management. This includes the troubleshooting and operational support of managed directory stores. In addition, this individual will have responsibility for supporting two-factor authentication and privileged account management solutions.

Responsibilities of the System Administrator Job in Rochester, NY:

Demonstrate ability to evaluate, install, test and maintain components and services including identity directories and other applications that exist in the environment.

Demonstrate experience with two-factor authentication and privileged account management tools.

Demonstrate ability to trouble-shoot and perform root cause analysis. May provide technical direction or guidance to other colleagues.

Develop test plans and data, and integrated test scripts to support unit and quality assurance testing. Create and execute upgrade plans in conjunction with functional team.

Provide input on the design/build/deployment of automating manual on and off-boarding processes for all account types.

Stay abreast of new features and functionality of existing tools as well as new technology and aspects of access management and account security

Provide on-call and after-hours support as required

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering. AAS may be acceptable but not preferred.

Experience:

3-4 years of related experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Experience with MS Active Directory, LDAP, relational databases, and access management systems.

Experience with time and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Experience with role-based access control, account onboarding processes and system integrations.

Experience with PowerShell, JavaScript, Java or UNIX shell scripting.

Experience with writing queries for relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, etc.)

Experience with two-factor authentication and privileged account management tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to learn new technologies quickly and to translate business needs into solution requirements.

Ability to work independently or collaboratively with a team
