System Administrator Level 3

Description

This position is responsible for architecting, configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting of PowerSecure on-premises and Public Cloud infrastructure. This position makes strategic platform decisions in a Hybrid, multi-cloud IT environment that are endorsed by management and align with business imperatives and technology roadmaps. This position will lead key infrastructure-driven cloud initiatives. This position a ssists with training the infrastructure team to build, manage, maintain, and operate a Hybrid, multi-cloud IT environment. This position serves as an escalation point for L2 Admins. This position builds business acumen and relationships to facilitate strategic technology decisions with team members and customers.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field with a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience OR 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, teamwork, written / verbal communications and positive attitude
• Ability to communicate technical concepts into language business partners easily understand
• Ability to contribute to a safe work environment
• Ability to perform 'technical lead' role on project teams, owning problem remediation efforts and consulting with vendors / suppliers to overcome critical technical issues
• Provide strategy support regarding technology infrastructure to support PS goals as well as establish standards and drive process development
• Architect project solutions and recommend technology roadmap initiatives
• Facilitate high levels of collaboration with Cybersecurity, Enterprise Solutions Application Support teams and key PS business partners
• Ability to travel 15% of the time

  Technical:
• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with server operating systems (Windows and Linux), virtualization, storage, networking, and public cloud offerings from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience migrating workloads from on premises data centers to the public cloud is required.
• Infrastructure & Operations - sound understanding of compute, storage, networking, and management of infrastructure operations.
• Integration Architecture - including integration among data, identity management, network, and applications in a Hybrid IT environment
• Applying cloud best practices to on-prem environment and vice-versa.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio 7-years of experience supporting Microsoft server installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
• 7-years of experience supporting Microsoft O365, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive
• 7-years of experience with cloud data storage environments (OneDrive/SharePoint/AWS/Azure)
• 7-years of experience supporting MS Azure / Amazon AWS / Active Directory including creation & maintenance of user & computer accounts, security groups, OUs, GPOs, etc.
• 7-years of experience supporting Microsoft SCCM, Intune or other similar configuration management systems
• 7-years of experience installing, configuring, operating and troubleshooting network equipment such as Routers, Firewalls, Switches, WAPs, etc.
• 7-years of experience supporting network protocols (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, TCP/IP, UDP)
