Your Role At Baxter!

A System Administrator provides technical expertise in deploying and supporting medical device and software integration in healthcare environments. This role requires the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams that include customer resources in collaboration with internal clinical and technical professionals. A System Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software solutions including monitoring the performance of servers. They will also analyze and resolve problems associated with the operating system's servers, hardware, applications, and software.

What You'll Be Doing

• Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOP's, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements.
• Deploying the IQ Gateway "Appliance" at customer's sites
• Maintain Server installations and provide ongoing maintenance of deployed systems
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
• Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure
• Maintain system security and address vulnerabilities
• Provide technical support and guidance on performance issues and application installation
• Participate in a 24×7 support rotation

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, healthcare required.
• Experience in Linux system administration
• Familiarity with load balancing, firewalls, network configuration
• Networking experience; IP tables, Network address routing, subnetting
• Kubernetes and Docker/Container experience
• Experience with server virtualization
• Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) experience
• Experience in file sharing: NFS, OpenEBS, Block Storage
• Experience with configuration, maintaining and tuning high availability systems
• Familiarity with security and antivirus best practices
• Ability to work independently and with team members from diverse backgrounds

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 to $180,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
