Description:

This is an opportunity to join the IERUS team as a System Analyst supporting a large Missile Defense Agency program.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience and be responsible for, but not limited to; conducts a wide variety of tasks developing, maintaining and integrating specialized mathematical-based modeling and simulation, as well as analyzing results of mathematic modeling to develop requirements for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System in a model-based systems engineering environment (MBSE). Modeling and simulation tasks drive end-to-end performance analysis. Participate in the development, updating, and benchmarking/anchoring of M&S tools to support system analysis tasks.

Required Qualifications:

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in an engineering discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering) or equivalent years’ experience;
• Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance;
• Individual must have a demonstrated technical background in numerical modeling and simulation using a high level programming language such as MATLAB, or similar language environment;
• Individual must be able to demonstrate knowledge of building and/or analyzing M&S for one-or-more missile defense-related system types: EO/IR sensors, RF/Radar sensors, kill vehicles, missiles/interceptors, threats & countermeasures, target discrimination, or command and control (e.g., C3I, C4I, etc.);
• Must possess software development experience with languages such as C++, C#, Python or Java;
• Must demonstrate ability to think critically to develop and capture concepts in technical papers, presentations, and discussions;
• Must possess good oral and written communication skill;
• Capable of working in focused teams as an independent individual contributor.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret Clearance;
• Demonstrated experience modeling or simulating missile defense applications or similar domains (air combat, air defense, intercept of ballistic targets, intercept of non-ballistic targets, space vehicles, sub-orbital mechanics, etc.);
• Knowledge of ballistic and advanced threat systems ((e.g., aero-maneuvering, hypersonic, hyper-glide, countermeasures, etc.), a discriminator in selection;
• Experience with DOORS.
