System Design Verification Engineer

Summary

The System Verification Engineer in AR Hardware will be an integral member of the design verification engineering (DVE) team that ensures our designs are capable of meeting all product requirements. This position will have the opportunity to influence product design, own a substantial aspect of design verification engineering, and design test protocols with line-of-sight to mass production. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can navigate through the development of test architecture all the way through detailed execution. They are detail-oriented with robust communication skills and comfortable working in a highly visible and highly hands-on problem-solving environment. The candidate will also have a strong ability to communicate to all levels of an organization - from management to technical engineers. You will collaborate with a large breadth of cross-functional disciplines to understand emerging designs and technologies. Required Skills

System Design Verification Engineer Responsibilities:

• Work with the hardware engineering and technology teams to understand product design requirements and own definition of verification requirements and development of test systems.
• Work with cross functional teams to ensure SW/FW/HW is stable and is handling the HW correctly.
• Partner with the SW team to cover the HW facing User Acceptance Testing as the system user experiences are developed.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders across teams and disciplines to gather requirements and provide targeted solutions.
• Develop, maintain and improve system level test infrastructures as well as to help grow and develop new functionality.
• Work with Firmware, Thermal Simulations and Power teams to tune thermal performance at device and system level. Own development of new capabilities and test systems to support new use cases.
• Domestic and or International travel 10%.

Minimum Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Math, Physics, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years industry experience in engineering design environment or design verification.
• 2+ years industry experience with one or more programming languages such as Python or C.
• Experience developing test automation solutions for embedded systems with MCUs, or Embedded Linux, or Embedded Android (AOSP).
• Experience with system or firmware verification with focus on hardware interactions.
• Experience with troubleshooting hardware issues on an SoC and MCU.

Preferred Qualification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with system power, thermal, performance verification.
• Experience with embedded systems' architecture and components.
• Experience with performance optimization of algorithms.
• Experience with debugging tools.
• Experience with standard hardware debugging tools such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Experience with test automation and Instrument communication such as Oscilloscopes, cameras, etc.
• Knowledge of various internal SoC's IP blocks and their interactions between CPU, MEM, 3D Graphic engine, ISP, PLL, etc.
• Experience optimizing end-to-end use-case applications.
• Experience in collaborating with cross functional teams.
