As a System Enablement Engineer at Micron Technology Inc. you will join a team working closely with system platform enablers to enable Micron on next generation system platforms. This role is located in Folsom, CA and is expected to work often the joint labs with the remaining time in the Micron office.

You will be responsible to work closely with system enablers (Intel, AMD, ARM) to coordinate engineering efforts and be the central contact between our Boise Labs and Enabler Joint Labs in Folsom, CA. Your technical responsibilities include early system evaluations, characterization and failure analysis, and development of system tools.

Your day to day functions may include: evaluating and developing diagnostic software, system debug and test methodologies, designing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, crafting custom tools and presenting data to customers both inside and outside of Micron. We work with other specialists and management within the Compute Design Engineering Group as well as other individuals from other departments throughout Micron.

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Direct collaboration with System Enablers outside of Micron
  • Liaison to Micron Boise Engineering labs
  • Joint lab support for Micron engineering labs
  • System engineering remote support
  • FA and system analysis within joint lab
  • Engineering tool development and training

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Hardware: X86, ARM, System, Motherboard, DRAM, Intel, AMD, PCIe
  • Equipment: Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, motherboard
  • Software: Python, Linux, C, C++, Assembly
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical or computer engineering.
  • 8+ years demonstrated ability in relevant field.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$138,000.00 - $234,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
