Job Description
System Engineer
KBR is looking for a System Engineer to support SWFO system configuration/layout and documentation generation and system integration/deployment. This is a multifaceted position.
***Must be U.S. Citizen***
Responsibilities:
- Support of planning/design of equipment rack layouts
- Generate engineering drawings (racks, facility, etc.) & "as-built" documentation
- Publish and distribute drawings and documentation
- Configuration management support
- Rack configuration/deployment support
- Logistic Support
- May participate as a team member of multiple teams
- May act as primary intra-organizational liaison
- In addition, support maybe required for present/future Mission & Support tasks
- The individual will work with senior engineering staff providing:
- Developing and updating system drawings and documentation
- Support system design reviews at the service level
- Provide system installation/integration both local and remote
- Support senior staff for system testing, troubleshooting and repair
- Support network deployment and troubleshooting
- Provide facility support (coordination, planning, research, configuration implementation, etc.)
- Support senior staff with system architecture and specification, including network, servers, storage
- Support Integration and Test activities, as needed for planning, receiving, and configuration of both systems and support equipment as required by test engineers
- Develop system administration skills/certification for S/A role on multiple systems and hardware appliances
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, applied science or related field
- 0 - 1 year of related experience
- In lieu of formal education 8 years or related experience
- Good skill and understanding with Microsoft Desk Top Applications: Word, Excel, Power Point.
- Understanding of IT hardware and operating systems (configuration, troubleshooting)
- Basic facility knowledge is a plus (structural, HVAC, electrical)
Preferred Skills:
Network router/switch knowledge/skills is a plus
Knowledge/experience with drawing applications, VISIO and CAD preferred
Key to Success:

Good interpersonal skills
Available for travel up to 25%
