What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team supporting a national security organization. The Guidehouse Team performs a range of IT services required to plan, manage, architect, engineer, develop, configure, test, and sustain a risk-based passenger prescreening system of systems.

As a part of this team, you will provide systems engineering, integration, and infrastructure support for the system's data analytics environment. As a System Engineer on this team, you will provide systems engineering, integration, configuration, and infrastructure support to aid in the development and enhancement of the data analytics subcomponent/environment of a mission-critical national security system. In this role, you will also:

  • Provide Systems Engineer support for an enterprise big data and analytics platform that utilizes a vast tool suite to ingest data at extreme volumes for providing critical mission analysis.
  • Assist in planning, analyzing, and delivering future functional and technical capabilities.
  • Support operations for the existing tool suite while exploring ways to modernize the tools and utilization of the data.
  • Operate in an Agile-based environment using DevOps processes and practices as part of a larger system development and support program.
  • Work collaboratively with other development, support, and data science/analytics teams and stakeholders in planning and executing the work.

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • SEVEN (7) or more years of experience providing consulting, analytical, operational, or engineering support; a Masters degree may be used in lieu of TWO (2) years of experience and a Doctorate/PhD may be used in lieu of an additional 2 years.
  • Experience in the design and/or support of Data Analytics/Data Science tools, platforms, and/or environments
  • Hybrid Role; required to be on client site FOUR (4) days a month.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • THREE (3) years or more of experience in the design and/or support of Data Analytics/Data Science environments
  • TWO (2) years of experience working with R, Python, or Anaconda
  • TWO (2) years of experience with ETL (e.g., Informatica ETL)
  • Experience working in a large federal contract environment
  • Experience working in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment
  • Experience in any of the following tools: Zeppelin, Spark, IBM GNM
  • Experience with IBM Integrated Analytics System (aka IIAS, aka Sailfish)
  • Flexibility, agility, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment as well as to work independently in an agile environment using DevOps processes and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solver, self-starter, and communicator; demonstrable capacity for learning technical concepts and adapting to new technologies quickly and document technical concepts proficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to building relations with and communicate across all levels of staff and leadership, along with a variety of internal and external stakeholders groups.
