Davidson is seeking a Systems Engineer II for Colorado Springs, CO.

As a Systems Engineer II, you will be a Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) member of a multi-disciplinary Agile Scrum Team participating in the development of the Radar Test Contract (RTC) Open Systems Architecture Sensor Models (OSM).

This is an On-Site role at Schriever AFB, CO

Responsibilities to Anticipate :

• You will work on an Agile Scrum team using effective system engineering process and artifacts for the OSM IPT at Schriever SFB, CO.
• You work with a team of engineers and software developers on the development and implementation of a suite of sensor models used for element and system level analysis and verification and validation
• You will support the development of system and software requirements and acceptance criteria
• You will provide system engineering support to the software development lifecycle for Missile Defense Agency sensors
• You will develop and support sensor model regression testing plans as well as automated behavior validation
• You will develop and use system engineering processes and instruments, test software for modeling and simulation products, particularly with an emphasis on system-level testing, and evaluate code performance

Requirements:

• Typically requires a Bachelors' Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, or Mathematics and a minimum of five (5) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in Systems Engineering with specific experience in the following areas:
• Experience in Systems Engineering processes, activities, approaches, and life cycle models
• Experience developing Systems Engineering Products such as Concept of Operations, Use Cases, requirements, block and interface diagrams, risk analysis, trade studies, prototypes, or test reports
• Experience with Linux computing environments
• Experience using MySQL, Python, MATLAB, or Shell scripting to be able to develop, test, analyze, and troubleshoot software products

Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:

• Masters' degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Math preferred with experience in the following areas:
• Creating models and simulations (not solid modeling)
• Ability to read and analyze C/C++ and Java code
• Software requirements development
• Software design, integration, and test
• Communicating and interacting with Government counterparts
• Using distributed simulation protocols such as DIS, HLA, or TENA
• Knowledge of Standard Template Libraries
• Military CONOPs
• MDA RADAR systems: AN/TPY-2, COBRA DANE, SBX, and UEWR
• BMDS Radar Domain
• RADAR algorithms including signal processing, tracking, and discrimination
• Radar Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis
• Working with End Users and performing troubleshooting for a Modeling and Simulation or software product
• Agile development practices including using instruments such as Jira, GitLab, CMake, and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
• Model Based Engineering (MBE)
• Discrete Event Simulations
