Responsibilities

Join a high-performing team supporting important U.S. Air Force acquisition and sustainment programs. Perform functions and review/produce documents necessary to provide engineering support including technical evaluations, engineering studies, engineering reports/analyses, and airworthiness products. Analyze equipment/software deficiencies, make recommendations for equipment/software deficiency corrections, develop, integrate, and test equipment/software deficiency solutions, and assist the Government in milestone preparation. Assist the Government in the engineering evaluation of prime/subcontractor recommendations for operational and support issues including evaluations of Advance Change Study Notices (ACSNs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Contractor Change Proposals (CCPs), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Bulletins, and related documents. Collaborate with program office staff and other stakeholders to develop Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) sustainment strategies and plans. The contractor shall participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program management reviews, certification working groups, and other technical meetings, as required. The contractor shall prepare/coordinate engineering analysis reports, draft acquisition planning documentation, including RFP packages, and required review board. Collaborate with program office staff and other stakeholders to develop Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) sustainment strategies and plans.

Qualifications

The folowing qualification are REQUIRED to be considered for this role:
  • BS Degree in any engineering discipline with 10+ years of related engineering experience or
  • MS Degree in any engineering discipline with 8+ years of related engineering experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance
The following experince/education/skills are PREFERRED to be considered for this role:
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA)
  • Certification in Engineering and Technical Management (ETM), Engineering (ENG), and/or equivalent.
  • Experience in aircraft development, production, and/or modernization programs are highly desired.
