We own the end-to-end claims lifecycle: from the moment a Host or Guest files a claim, through intake and triage, all the way to adjudication and resolution. As part of the Aircover Engineering team, you'll work alongside engineers, product managers, designers, data scientists, and operations experts who are deeply committed to getting claims right. Whether that means streamlining the agent workflows that power resolution, improving the integrations that connect our claims platform to Airbnb's broader payments and infrastructure, or embedding AI-driven intelligence to surface the right information at the right moment — every contribution has a direct impact on the Hosts and Guests who trust Airbnb to have their back.

Every engineer on this team brings their own unique perspective, technical expertise, and problem-solving approach — and your work on the tooling will have a direct, measurable effect on agent efficiency, claim resolution quality, and the overall AirCover experience. You will leverage AI tools throughout your development workflow — from accelerating design and prototyping to generating and reviewing code — so you can move faster, go deeper, and spend more time solving the problems that matter.

A Typical Day:

Work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to execute on product and business strategy to build novel products and features.
Drive, lead, and contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch. You'll be reviewing code and design docs, and giving feedback on product specs and mocks.Provide critical input on team roadmap and technical direction.

Responsibilities:
Drive the innovative use of Salesforce.com as an enterprise business platform for a rapidly growing and evolving company.
Drive low-level architecture and contribute to high-level architecture. Champion modular design, reuse, separation of concerns, high cohesion, and loose coupling.
Develop custom solutions within Salesforce (Apex/Lightning Framework) and other object-oriented (Java) enterprise applications.
Perform technical analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications with necessary customizations.
Take impactful features from idea to implementation, champion best practices and policies, and guide and influence the team in leveraging such practices.
Drive user story analysis, elaboration, and design. Strive to ensure code quality is high with supporting unit tests and on-time delivery. Self-manage to produce pre-sprint technical designs and grooming activities.
Ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing, and deployment.
Maintain technical documentation to assist the operations team.
Bring your unique experience and expertise to a diverse and passionate team — having fun is a must!
Manage engineering deliverables by working closely with engineering teams.
Serve as an SME for CRM and provide thought leadership to bring best practices to the team.

Your Expertise:

BE/ B.tech or equivalent technical qualification
4 to 8 years of relevant work experience in salesforce service cloud development
Strong understanding of Salesforce Programming and Administration (develop code, Custom objects, Apex, Triggers, Reports, workflows and assignment rules)
Design and develop solutions primarily on the Salesforce platform using Apex programming language, Lightning Web Components
Expert-level proficiency in LWC and front-end development.
Strong Salesforce customization and configuration experience in Salesforce Service Cloud.
Experience with Release Management, Source Control, and Deployment concepts and technologies such as Salesforce DX, SFDC Metadata API, ANT, Jenkins, and Git.
Experience with data management and data migration principles and application.
Experience with integrations on the Salesforce platform.
Practical knowledge of telephony and CTI systems.
Self-starter, adept at picking up new skills and technologies, and eager to break new ground.
Proficiency in AI-assisted development workflows — you actively use tools like Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent LLMs to write, review, and debug code faster and more effectively.
Strong prompt engineering skills — able to craft precise, context-rich prompts that produce reliable, high-quality outputs across code generation, technical design, and documentation tasks.
Self-starter, adept at picking up new skills and technologies — including emerging AI tooling — and eager to break new ground.
