The Medication Management Solutions (MMS), a business unit of BD, has a passion and commitment to help enhance the safety and efficiency of clinician's care delivery process through the use of infusion pump systems. We are currently looking for a System Integration Architect to continue to evolve our innovative and market leading interoperability software solutions.

OBJECTIVE

Provide technical vision and leadership across the various product development teams that compose the BD interoperability system in order to develop a robust, sustainable, competitive solution that aligns with BD internal and third-party customer expectations.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with marketing teams to gather user needs that are useful by the development teams
• Distill design inputs from applicable standards, FDA guidance, hazards, etc. into practical requirements for the engineering teams
• Provide technical leadership to product development teams on system level feature concepts and requirements
• Develop and maintain system architecture, interfaces and other design inputs and outputs, applying sound engineering principles and strategies to drive innovation.
• Guide system integration test team on the verification and validation cycles of the interoperability system
• Design Software development tools that best mimic healthcare institutions environments using interoperability solutions for innovation and testing purposes.
• Ensures product architecture, technology vision, and roadmap meets business needs.
• Research and educate team on the new and upcoming interoperability technologies.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering such as Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Cognitive Science or Mathematics.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
• Software product lifecycle experience including documentation, concept, delivery, maintenance, and testing.
• Familiarity with high level programming languages and concepts such as object oriented design and design patterns
• Experience with any of the following, including .NET, Azure, HL7, JSON, XML, PYTHON, C++, PROTOBUF, EMR systems

HIGHLY DESIRABLE EXPERIENCES

• Technical leadership experience in architecture design, implementation of a complex scalable enterprise solution. Have a deep understanding of interface protocols and scalable architecture patterns.
• Excels with verbal and written communication and collaboration
• Understanding of requirement managements and hazard analysis and risk controls
• Knowledge of applicable medical device standards such as IEC60601, IEC62304, ISO13485, IHE, FDA, HIPAA
• Work experience in product development in a regulated environment
• Background in cyber security such as MITRE, OWASP, NIST, FIPS, etc.
• Practiced in statistical methods, algorithms, any mathematical usage related to data science
• Participation with Agile or Scrum methodologies

There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.

$121,100.00 - $199,800.00
