Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

What you will learn and contribute to

Nokia of America Corporation, System Support Engineer (Multiple Positions), Dallas, TX. Analyze, define, and design test cases and test descriptions for new Nokia 5G features and software releases. Troubleshoot E2E 3GPP call flow in SA and NSA architecture by analyzing different layers messaging and providing technical investigation reports. Commissioning and Integration of Nokia 5G gNB in both Classical and Cloud variant for SA (Standalone Architecture) and NSA (Non-Standalone Architecture) architecture, O-RAN RIC and Open Fronthaul for various releases. Execute test cases in Nokia Lab and field locations. Perform 5G software delivery validation, release and software upgrades. Support customer engagements and demonstrations for 5G and next generation RAN features. Provide E2E technical support to Nokia customers for 5G RAN, VRAN 1.0 and 2.0 and O-RAN and O-RAN RIC products. Resolve customers issues, escalations, fault reproduction, bug fixes, correction testing and reporting. Provide technical training as needed. Provide feedback to develop tools and processes to enhance team efficiency and the competitiveness of Nokia's offerings based on customer feedback, standards, and regulatory requirements.#LI-DNI

Your skills and experience

SALARY: $101,080 - $187,720 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in the following:

• Commissioning, integration, testing, and debugging 5G network technologies in both Classical and Cloud variant for SA (Standalone Architecture) and NSA (Non-Standalone Architecture) architecture;

• Product Integration and architecture of 5G RAN technologies, VRAN 1.0/2.0, O-RAN architecture;

• Analyzing 3GPP call flows for SA and NSA 5G networks to investigate and troubleshoot issues;

• Designing and defining test cases for new 3GPP and 5G RAN features;

• Performing customer fault reproduction, bug fixes, correction testing and reporting;

• Analyzing and collecting 5G RAN and 5G Device logs to support network testing and technical issue investigation;

• QXDM/QCAT, XCAL/XCAT, and Wireshark/LuaShark.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in the following: O-RAN RIC and Open Fronthaul.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in the following: DCAP, TTI Traces, Component traces, and BTS SysLogs.

Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 20%.
