Complete Description

As a System Test Engineer at Caribou Thunder, you will be responsible for leading site test activities, establishing milestones, monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules, and identifying program risks.

• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of system test solutions, including test plans, procedures, and events.
• Your role will involve participating in system-level test planning and readiness reviews, documenting test requirements and methodologies, and training less experienced personnel on system test processes and procedures.
• In this role, you will review system engineering documentation to ensure that test plans and methodologies meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent, and complete.
• You will participate in trade studies to support the selection of design solutions, commercial components, and preferred course of action alternatives.
• Additionally, you will contribute to the development of system integration plans, procedures, and scenarios used in software/hardware system integration testing.
• You will participate in engineering peer reviews to ensure technical quality and engineering rigor.
• You will convert customer requirements into total systems solutions that consider technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• This includes performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience using a requirements management tool, such as DOORS.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Experience using a discrepancy management tool, such as Jira or Bugzilla.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Requirements

• Familiarity with Agile software development methodology.
• Familiarity with ground-based radars such as PARCS and/or the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) Precision Acquisition Vehicle Entry (PAVE) Phased Array Warning System (PAWS) (BPP).
• Experience with test automation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Korn Shell, Bourne Shell, Python, Perl, bash, tcl, etc.
• Familiarity with MS Office suite of tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Self-starter with the ability to efficiently achieve goals and proactively pursue subsequent tasks.
• Security+ Certification.
