System Test Engineer (STM)

Job Description

The ADAS Test and Validation group is continuing to build and strengthen its core competences with the addition of a highly motivated and technically skilled System Test Engineer (Systems Test Management role). The STE is responsible for reviewing, defining and building/coordinating test cases for the L2 system validation requirements. Heshe leads and coordinates all T&V Domain test activities from planning until test creation within DOORs. The STE is the overall coordinator of all test and validation activities within the Test & Validation Department. The ADAS Test group is involved in vehicle component integration testing, development & testing of long and short range Radar, Camera vision systems, LIDAR and related advanced vehicle sensing components. We are currently developing Full Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Controls, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Forward Object Detection and Collision Mitigation Systems.

Core Responsibilities:• Coordinating development of ADAS Test Case Catalog and Continental Generic Test Case Database for T& V Department• Technical support of ADAS Quote Process in reviewing customer requirement specifications and support mapping to our internal requirements and test cases• Project management at system test level leading bench and vehicle test activities • Definition of Validation Methodology by creating and releasing the system test strategy for ADAS (+Driving Functions)• Definition of Validation Plan and coordinating the activities needed to release the system test plan (+Driving Functions)• Aligns all T&V sub-domain test catalogs and consolidates into an overall catalog/database and maintain• Align with global colleagues on feature and the associated function test cases• Monitors and reports test case status and feature updates including internal and customer level tests• Monitors and reports status of linking of test cases to technical requirements. Drives internal sub-groups (Vehicle, Bench, Virtual) as needed for on time completion• Serves as primary interface (internal & customer) for Test & Validation Test Case Catalog/Database• Responsible contact for all tasks within the T&V Organization towards the test case development• Development of efficient and effective approach together with all other involved stakeholders within and out of the T&V domain (Sensorics, SW, HW, ME)

Job Requirements

Qualifications:• Bachelors Degree in following fields: Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer or equivalent • 2+ years of Test and Validation Experience: Vehicle and/or Bench Testing• Knowledge of Driver Assistance Systems and the ADAS Sensors• Proficient with test related measurement technology & Test Creation Tools such as DOORS• Development of test cases • Experience with Automotive Electronic/Electromechanical Products and CAN/FlexRay/Ethernet communication BUS Systems• Good communication skills within the team, internal & external customers a must• Must be willing to travel to support internal and external customers• Must be willing to work off-site for some assignments • Great (English) oral and written communication skills • Able to work in a team environment and be flexible with changing priorities • Able to multi-task to meet project timing (time management skills) • Familiar with MS Office, DOORS, MTS, etc.• Work independently with little to no supervision to meet tight deadlines • Good logical problem solver; good attention to detail
