System Test Engineering Manager

Manager, Systems Test Engineer 

As the manager of System Test Engineering at Lunar, you will be on the front line of system integration between mechanical parts, electrical boards, low level embedded firmware, and higher level application logic.  This is a highly technical role requiring experience with integrated hardware and embedded software.  You will lead a team to identify and solve cross functional integration problems, as well as putting in place hardware and software to perform automated system level regression testing.

On a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely…

• Hire, lead, and mentor a team of system test engineers to solve integration problems and build the capability of automated system level regression testing. 
• Work with the system engineering team to ensure the product has a clear set of testable requirements.
• Ensure the system meets its requirements and this behavior is robust across all corner cases
• Work side by side with functional leaders to release high quality features with extensive regression testing
• Create test plans and perform root cause analysis
• Define and implement hardware in the loop testing

Desired Skills:

• Degree in an electrical engineering related or adjacent field, or demonstrated commensurate ability.
• Demonstrated excellence debugging complicated system level behavior at the crossroads of electrical engineering and firmware
• Experience with BMS, batteries, power electronics 
• Experience with CAN, RF, PLC communications 
• Fluent in scripting/automation using Python
• Able to read electrical schematics and embedded C code
• Experience with hardware in the loop testing
• Experience with high-voltage lab equipment
• Experience with AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion
• Outstanding written and verbal communication and the ability to smoothly work cross functionally
