Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a System architect for system test benches M/F based in Marignane, France.

A job offer entitled “System architect for system test benches M/F” has just opened at Airbus Helicopters' Marignane site.
Within the Test Center Department of the Design Office, you will join a team of 32 people from the «System Means» department in charge of designing and maintaining in operation the system test benches, including the avionics system integration benches as well as System Helicopter Zero, the power generation benches, the software test benches.

Your mission will be to lead the development of new test benches (both on technical aspects and on project management) to deliver a means in accordance with the customer’s technical need within the defined time and budget.

To carry out your mission, your main activities will be:

• Participate in the development of the test bench quotation

• Write the functional specification with users in accordance with the test strategy defined by the testers,

• Define the high-level architecture of the test benches including the physical parts (wiring, connectors, cuts, power supply, acquisition cards, panels, bays...) and software parts,

• Monitor progress of external suppliers in charge of detailed design and manufacturing of benches,

• Ensure the integration of all bench components (hardware and software) and the completion of the bench,

• Write verification procedures and perform associated tests to ensure compliance of the bench with specifications,

• Deliver the bench to users with clear limitations and provide associated documentation.

Most documents (including those to be written) are in English.

You will work in close cooperation with the rest of the team supporting the benches, the architects of the benches, the users of the benches, the SDR (System Design Responsibles), the suppliers and the engineers of the Simulation.

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience:

• Experience in system and/or software test benches

• Knowledge of electrical/aeronautical wiring

• Knowledge of helicopter architecture and avionics systems would be appreciated

• Knowledge of configuration management

• Ability to step back

• Rigor and compliance with standards

• Self-sufficient, innovative and open-minded

• Good communication skills

You will be based at the site of Marignane.
