We are currently seeking a Systems Administration Director to join our team in Washington (Fully Remote), District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).

Responsibilities include:
  • Lead multiple separate teams through subordinate leaders including Server Operations (Windows and Linux) mostly cloud based, Network O&M including a 24x7 NOC and Telephony, Firewall Team (Palo Alto), Mobile Device Management (MDM) Team, Windows Engineering Team (packaging and distribution of software and patches for Workstations and Servers), and a Tools team that manages several applications in support of teams and customers including ServiceNow, RSA, ScienceLogic and others.
  • Participate in daily internal and customer meetings and ensure that infrastructure teams are effectively and accurately reporting the status of their work.
  • Take an active role in change management and work with the CM team closely to ensure that infrastructure changes are done in an accurate and timely way with the least amount of risk to the infrastructure and business services. Scrutinize requests for expedited approval and serve as the first approver/disapprover.
  • Become familiar with contractual requirements in order to ensure that the teams are delivering the services that are required.
  • Participate in the documentation of work instructions and SOPs to ensure the proper level of delivery. Review customer requested changes to SOPs to ensure those changes do not move outside the scope of the contractual obligations.
  • Participate in the weekly RCA meeting and help review and update RCAs as required.
  • Create and track improvement plans when required/requested, and brief internal and client leaders on progress as required.
  • Become familiar with the CLIN structure and the financials for responsible areas and manage to those constraints.
  • Look for opportunities for account growth and bring those forward.
  • Seek and implement efficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in technical troubleshooting calls and help direct troubleshooting where needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client leaders and serve as the first level of escalation.
  • Serve as a member of the senior account leadership team and brief at senior executive level weekly meetings.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum 12 years of increasingly responsible experience working in an IT role, to include systems administration, and a mix of technical and leadership/management experience
  • Minimum 5 years of management/leadership experience
  • Requires an active Secret Clearance


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Candidates with Tier 3 technical roles in server, network, or cloud platform management.
  • Technical certifications are a plus
  • ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to simultaneously track multiple high priority activities and projects and manage messaging and updates.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on customer service, including experience handling challenging situations and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple remote teams that are a mix of employees and subcontractors.
  • Graduate degree is preferred
