Systems Administrator

Reporting to the Manager of Technical Services, the System Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day operational support and administration of Sightline's technical infrastructure. 24/7 support is required for this position including server maintenance, software deployments, and new server builds.

Here's an idea of things you'll be tasked with:

• Securely manage and configure servers, personal computing equipment, printers, network devices, and related peripherals.
• Participate in defining and documenting team processes and maintaining flexibility while meeting compliance obligations.
• Collaborate with the IT administration team in proactive assessments, guidelines, and projects plans for system capacity and performance.
• Participate in planning, deployment, release testing, and implementation of hardware and software.
• Assess, recommend, and develop plans to integrate third-party tools, add-ons, and interfaces that strengthen employee technology services.
• Provide technical support for Sightline's daily operations.

Here's an idea of the skills sets we need you to bring:

• 3+ years recent practical Microsoft Windows Server 2016 (or higher), Active Directory, and Windows 10 installation and support experience.
• 3+ years of M365 user provisioning and support.
• Practical knowledge of the OSI layer model and networking protocols.
• Practical experience with integrated public cloud solutions such as AWS or Azure.
• Practical virtualized server management experience (Hyper-V or VMWare).
• Practical IP networking, firewall management, and VLAN configurations.
• Working knowledge of network switching and routing concepts.
• Fault tolerance and high-availability concepts desired.
• SQL syntax a plus but not required.
• Strong customer empathy and customer experience sensitivity.
