About this position

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the health and support of the physical and cloud infrastructure systems and services, applications, and servers. This includes vetting, installing, and configuring software and hardware in both a physical and virtual Infrastructure, as well as updates and related services to ensure KPI's are achieved. This position is expected to carry out duties such as monitoring, troubleshooting, access control, disk and storage management, server support and administration and application onboarding.

Additionally, the Systems Administrator identifies areas for improvement and uses collaboration and change control to implement best practices policies or implements configurations that improve security, systems health, and service and application availability. This individual is self-motivated and capable fast-paced work in changing environments and when priorities conflict communicates with leadership to identify the preferred path.

What you'll do

• You are responsible for implementation, maintenance and support of the physical and cloud server infrastructure systems and services for Plexus Worldwide. This includes provisioning of servers, applications, storage, security, and related services.
• You work through the onboarding of new software into the environment including new software request by end users and follow written guidelines for addressing security risks, maintainability, and operational management of new applications.
• You work with JAMF to deploy security configurations, applications, and to manage Apple endpoints.
• You work with InTune to deploy security configurations, applications, and to manage Windows endpoints.
• You regularly audit systems for usage, access, and licensing.
• You remove software redundancies and identify business software requirements.
• You carry out administration duties such as software evaluation and installation, security settings, and application updates on applicable servers and appliances.
• You work well within written guidelines and procedures including using a ticketing system to facilitate resolutions of incidents and requests and to track work, tasks, and communications.
• You configure and use best practices to ensure optimum security, stability and efficiency of Windows servers and IT services, including backup security and availability for all Infrastructure systems.
• You develop and implement monitoring and management tools to ensure established KPI's are achieved.
• You work with internal and external teams to maintain and support Infrastructure services and solutions to meet business requirements and expectations.
• You administer, maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues for PCs, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, cellular, audio/visual and presentation equipment.
• You provide escalation support for IT Service Desk partners.
• You maintain knowledge base of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within multiple disciplines in the IT industry.

You should have

• You should have High School Diploma or GED.
• You have Preferred Education: BS in Computing or equivalent experience.
• You are AWS Practitioner certified. Can be achieved after hire.
• You have a Minimum of 2 years in a systems administrator role (recent experience is a must as the technology landscape is constantly changing) or 5+ years supporting Desktop Operations and Network Installations.
• You thoroughly understand Active Directory, including integration, best practices, and key requirements for a successful program-understanding and experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server OS.
• You can collaborate with others and thrive in a team environment while meeting individual goals and expectations.
