Location: Chicago

Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in office / 2 days at home weekly

Job Summary
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for assisting with managing and maintaining the company's server infrastructure, including Windows Servers, AWS, Data Center, Documentation, Organization, Communication, Network, Storage, and other related areas. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing server environments, virtualization technologies, network infrastructure, and storage systems. What You’ll Do

  • Manage and maintain Windows Servers / Systems, Apple Mac systems, AWS,3rdPartyData Center including Azure, Documentation, Organization, Communication, Network, Storage, and other related areas
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates on the server infrastructure
  • Implement security best practices to ensure the server infrastructure is secure
  • Monitor the server infrastructure to ensure it is running efficiently with on-call responsibility
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with the server infrastructure
  • Manage and maintain the network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and routers
  • Familiar with SAN and NAS systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for the server, network, and firewall infrastructure
  • Assisting the management and maintenance of user access and permissions to ensure security and compliance with company policies and standards
  • Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues and incidents in a timely manner Onboarding / Offboarding responsibilities
  • Answers customer questions and resolves issues
  • Manages and maintains ticket queue(s)
  • Acts as a liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. Share best practices and benefit from those of your colleagues through collaboration
  • Autonomously manages and troubleshoots issues while taking initiative and ownership.
  • Address all related IT processes through continuous improvement efforts
  • Develop ongoing documentation of processes and practices related to IT policy and directives to support the organization
  • Build and maintain knowledge of PatientPoint products and services
  • Willingness and ability to research tooling to improve environment

What We Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years in systems administration roles, including managing multiple server environments, dashboards, managing user access, and integrating with other tools in the software development and IT service management ecosystem
  • Experience working with software development teams and understanding of agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Must have Apple MAC troubleshooting skills.
  • Provide onsite / remote support for both Windows and MAC OS.

Desired Qualifications

  • Jira and Slack familiarity
  • Scripting experience in bash, PowerShell or Python
  • Experience with OKTA and Terraform
  • Understanding and experience in cloud, data centers, and server infrastructure
