CORE JOB SUMMARY
Handles multiple applications, systems, network, and/or telecommunications activities. Manages information systems throughout the organization. May include programming, analysis, networking, data processing, and/or administration responsibilities. Resolves technical problems. Researches and recommends technology. Coordinates information system priorities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides recommendations on tools to monitor and support all environments.
- Makes process and system improvement recommendations to assist the business in achieving its goals and objectives, leveraging best practices and professional experiences.
- Installs and maintains the organization's computer hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
- Recommends improvement in programs and procedures to simplify or maximize efficiency of operations.
- Analyzes and solves computer problems, and assures technology meets the needs of the organization.
- May lead and coordinate activities of other lower level information systems generalists.

ROLE, JOB SCOPE
- Knowledge - Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices and standards. Full knowledge of industry practice & general knowledge of other related specialties.
- Problem Solving - Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. Uses judgement & imagination to solve problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.
- Discretion/Latitude - Work is performed under general direction. Participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
- Impact - Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Errors or failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations typically cause delays in schedules & considerable expenditure of resources.
- Liaison/Leadership - Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. May instruct, or serve as a resource for other professionals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum bachelor's degree and five years related experience, or a combination of equivalent experience and training.
- ITIL V3 Foundations certification preferred
