As a Systems Administrator, you’ll support the organization's technology and process transformation through work in daily IT Operations, research of emerging technologies and processes, and supporting transition and delivery of new solutions, with the goal to make an impact across the federal government.

What you’ll do: 

• Meet with IT Operations and other teams daily to collaborate and tackle challenges.
• Execute system change requests as well as system health and security checks.
• Coordinate with other departments in support of their business unit systems to ensure quality and secure operations, and capture emerging needs.
• Support projects through research and testing of new technologies and processes and analysis of how best practices can be integrated into operations.
• Learn and execute industry best practices in support of the organization's many quality service, security, and environmental certifications.
• Work will largely entail supporting Microsoft Cloud, however other cloud and on-premise systems will be supported as well.

What you’ll need to succeed: 

• 3 Years Supporting Windows and MacOS workstations with a strong understanding of operating system and hardware installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• 3 Years Working within an IT service team leveraging ticket and asset inventory systems, with emphasis on documentation and collaboration.
• 2 Years Administering Microsoft Cloud endpoint and user management systems to include but not limited to Office 365 Administration, Active Directory (Azure or On-Premise), Exchange, Intune, Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication.
• 1 year conducting Automated Software Deployment and Patching via endpoint management platforms.
• 1 Year supporting Development and Executive userbases.
• Physical capability to lift and carry small printers, monitors, and similar computer equipment.
• Experience with Vulnerability management and remediation activities.
• Experience researching and designing new or major improvements to existing systems.
• Familiarity with ITIL Incident Response processes.
• A bachelor's degree in an IT-related field OR at a minimum, an associate degree (IT-related degree) while actively working towards obtaining a bachelor's degree.
• A Secret level security clearance, or the ability to obtain.
• Communication skills able to interface with technical and non-technical staff.
• To be a self-starter with curiosity, eagerness to learn, and ability to take initiative to resolve issues.
• Passion for learning and exploring the latest technologies.
