PC Systems Analysis work focuses on identifying, configuring, and installing personal computing (PC) systems hardware, software, and info-communications networks to enhance employee productivity and improve process efficiency while ensuring compliance with overall information systems goals and procedures. The work includes: •Gathering business and end user requirements •Analyzing and evaluating personal computing products, devices, and systems available in the marketplace for affordability, compatibility, expandability, and ease of use/support •Installing and configuring PC systems software to optimize performance and integration with client/server applications and info-communications transmission networks •Analyzing functionality and risks for mobile computing devices, including policies and approaches for managing security and data back-up in bring-your-own-device (BYOD) environments

The System Administrator will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of Nordic’s systems and workstations. The Information Technology Specialist improve upon existing infrastructures and will be responsible for providing strong technical support, end-user training, problem-solving, and developing strategies to prevent future problems.
SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
The System Administrator will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of Nordic’s systems and workstations. The Information Technology Specialist improves upon existing infrastructures and will be responsible for providing strong technical support, end-user training, problem-solving, and developing strategies to prevent future problems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Information Technology Specialist will have the following responsibilities which include, but are not limited to:Â
- Managing IT-related inventory including procurement and tracking
- Part of collaborative Systems and Security team to provide help desk support and administer all of Nordic’s IT systems (e.g. mail, CRM, intranet, and peripheries)
- Performing user and security management in all systems
- Providing training, support, and issue resolution follow-up for all end usersÂ
- Performing routine hardware maintenance and deployment
- Maintain and troubleshoot devices and systems, hardware, and software
- Creating process documents/user manuals
- IT Orientation for new hires and transfers
- Working on business operations projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis, and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience assisting end users in person, over the phone, live chat, and help tickets/emails
- 1+ years of systems administration and/or workstation support experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, and server operating systems
- Proficient knowledge of Office 365 applications and PowerShell preferred
- Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maximsÂ
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- The position will be hybrid in Madison, WI at Nordic’s Home Office
