Systems Administrator

Description

The Windows Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware, servers and related infrastructure. This position participates in technical research, evaluation and documentation to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems and related procedures adhere to IT Standards as set within the team.

Responsibilities

• Run with our Windows Administration - monitoring system health, scripting, custom reporting, server patching, certificate management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Assist in maintaining enterprise services, such as Active Directory (specifically Group Policy and DNS).
• Govern production readiness process to ensure that all server installations are properly monitored, backed up and covered by proper support documentation.
• Work closely with the Internal IT teams, Security, Compliance, partners in other business units, to design, deliver, and support enterprise tools that provide a frictionless working environment.
• Help automate our systems using PowerShell in our Windows environment.
• Provide 24/7 support coverage for all in-scope servers during rotating primary/secondary on-call schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in an IT Systems Administration related role.
• 5+ years' experience with Active Directory Suite - Group Policy and DNS.
• Experience creating PowerShell scripts in a Windows Environment.
• Ability to take ownership of servers, systems, and portals.
• Have a continuous improvement mindset and are capable of handling multiple priorities concurrently.
• An approach that is empathetic, humble, and customer focused.
