Introduction
The Systems Administrator is a proven technologist with expertise across multiple towers tools and technologies. This person has a track record for solving complex problems by engaging with all levels of support to drive to a resolution. They are capable of taking on projects from start to finish. The Systems Administrator looks to drive our business forward whether it’s through automation relationships or problem solving they are consistently aware of the big picture. The Systems Administrator embraces change and is quick to adjust to the needs of the business.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • This role requires you to work:
    • Thursday- Saturday & every other Wednesday from 6am to 6pm Mountain Time.
  • Knowledge within client’s environment (on-prem/Cloud) to perform Daily lower-level engineering task of system administration related solutions for various operational needs.
  • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware some peripherals services settings directories analyze storage requirements etc.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures templates.
  • Working on the OpenShift platform including some orchestration and management
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards and documentation for Taos as well as clients.
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  • Provides clear and concise communication to Management regarding opportunities solutions and progress.
  • A bridge builder with other Managed Services groups (Service Desk L3 Engineering CSM) providing excellent and timely customer experiences.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning and resource optimization as required.
  • Configure CPU memory and disk partitions as required.
  • Automate anything and everything and spend a lot of time doing it.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Ability to work Thursday- Saturday & every other Wednesday from 6am to 6pm Mountain Time.
  • OpenShift Experience.
  • Extensive system administration experience with advanced knowledge in Window or Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to write simple scripts or automation in one of more of the following languages: Terraform Ansible Puppet Python Bash or PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Patching Strategies and how they differ from traditional on-premises strategy or familiarity with patching tools such as SCCM Satellite Chavlik etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to train users in applications and operating system fundamentals and to write documentation.
  • Experience in a production environment with Configuration Management using modern declarative tools. (Terraform Ansible Puppet Jenkins etc.)
  • Production proficiency and experience with Azure AWS or GCP.
  • Understanding distinctions between system processes/services and user processes the authentication/authorization processes in use at the site local and network resources and resource sharing basic networking concepts and practices.
  • Familiarity with networked/distributed computing environment concepts; for example ability to use the route command administer routing and remote access service and modify deployed group policies.
  • Ability to distinguish between public/private CIDR Ranges and CIDR notation and understand how to calculate network sizes.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Certification in GCP AWS or Azure is preferred
  • Experience with DevOps tool set
  • Hands on experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of PaaS Database Offerings and how they work
  • Be able to write Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
