Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Systems Administrator of Administrative Systems will focus on the accounting, customer relationship management, document management, client delivery solutions, and e-mail marketing systems for the Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP), LLC. This role will assist in creation of reports, dashboards, end-user training, data integrations, and ensuring data integrity. The Systems Administrator will collaborate with other staff members to identify and implement both changes and enhancements to meet business requirements. Additionally, the role will provide direct support to end-users of these business systems and platforms.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the support for administrative, sales, marketing, and client management solutions through the Customer Relationship Management, Accounting, Document Management, and E-mail Marketing systems.
  • Support system configuration tasks, maintenance activities, and system enhancements/upgrades.
  • Assist in the creation of reports and dashboards to meet end-user requirements.
  • Provide basic administrative functions, including user account maintenance, troubleshooting user inquiries, and performing routine tasks for the administrative systems.
  • Collaborate with team members in maintaining data consistency and integrity across various administrative databases and records.
  • Assist in coordinating with users, vendors, and consultants for system maintenance and support.
  • Support the design and implementation of data feeds and integrations between administrative systems using tools such as SmartConnect and Zapier.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of system documentation and end-user training guides.
  • Support the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests for administrative systems.
  • Assist with special projects requiring analysis and strategic thinking.
  • Stay updated on technology trends and information related to administrative systems.
  • Support the implementation of automation processes to improve administrative systems operations.
  • Assist in conducting internal system audits and preparing for system upgrades.
  • Provide input as an advisor on current technology and future trends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Systems Administrator will report to the Director of Administrative and Index Systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required - or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of technical experience in system administrator or other IT related roles.
  • Certifications in Microsoft and Salesforce are a plus.
  • An emphasis on knowledge of CRM, Accounting, and/or Marketing systems is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, OpenText DM, Mailchimp and MOVEit Cloud is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Previous experience with project completion and understanding complex requirements.
  • Familiarity with modern project management methodologies is desirable.

LOCATION: 105 West Adams Street, Suite 1700, Chicago, IL
WORK SCHEDULE: Normal hours of operation are approximately 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Candidate must be able to start either early morning (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) or late morning (9:30 AM - 6:00 PM). Some flexibility may be required. Position may require work outside of normal work hours for performing maintenance/upgrades. Some overnight and weekend work may be required.
