Systems Administrator I

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator Level 1 to join our dynamic IT team. As a Level 1 Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing Onsite Tier 1 support, assisting in onboarding new hires, managing basic networking tasks, and upholding a high standard of security within our organization. Your expertise will contribute to the overall efficiency, reliability, and security of our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Tier 1 Support:

• Respond to and resolve help desk inquiries and technical support requests from end-users promptly and professionally.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.
• Escalate complex technical problems to the appropriate teams while maintaining ownership of the issue until resolution.

New Hire Onboarding:

• Collaborate with HR & Security to ensure a seamless technology onboarding process for new hires.
• Set up user accounts, email addresses, access permissions, and software applications to facilitate a productive work environment from day one.
• Provide training and orientation to new employees on basic IT tools and protocols.

Basic Networking:

• Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network devices such as switches, routers, and access points.
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues and assist in maintaining a reliable and efficient network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and report any anomalies to senior team members.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting in a professional environment.
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts, protocols, and hardware.
• Knowledge of security principles and best practices.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with end-users and team members.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are a plus.
