Systems Administrator I

Taxwell, a leading provider of tax preparation software to both professional tax preparers and individual digital do-it-yourself (DIY) filers, is seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent troubleshooting and communication skills to fulfill the Systems Administrator I role in our Information Technology department.

The Systems Administrator Iwill play a critical role in ensuring the secure and smooth operation of our organization's computer systems. As a Systems Administrator, you will collaborate with fellow Systems Administrators and other IT personnel to diagnose and resolve a variety of technical issues.

Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or an established professional background in the Information Technology field. Job responsibilities and professional experience requirements are listed below. Three to five years of experience with Active Directory is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Uphold established security policies and protocols to protect the organization's assets.
• Gather information from end users and IT/Helpdesk staff to accurately diagnose complex technical issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve reported issues promptly to help ensure and maintain optimal reliability and performance of IT infrastructure.
• Address and respond to end user inquiries submitted via internal ticketing system.
• Accurately document relevant details surrounding end user requests.
• Collaborate with other IT staff members to troubleshoot issues and complete IT related projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Analyze reported issues to determine potential issue severity and scope; report to IT Systems Director as needed.
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues in a timely manner as appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Skills and Experience

• In-depth knowledge of IT systems, networks, hardware and software, acquired through hands-on experience working in diverse environments.
• Understanding of compliance standards and regulations, such as GDPR and SOC2.
• Hands-on experience with directory services such as Active Directory.
• Understanding of SSO and MFA solutions and implementation.
• Ability to effectively complete assigned projects, demonstrating the ability to independently meet deadlines and deliver quality results.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal staff and vendors as needed.
• Collaborative mindset with a history of successful teamwork and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to embrace change and adapt to evolving technologies.
