Systems Administrator II

In this role, the Systems Administrator II will join the Ansys Government Initiatives (AGI) Help Desk Support team and will be responsible for providing Help Desk support, while working on Windows 10/11 system deployments and other System Administrator related projects. They will support AGI's Windows servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 account, inventory management, and internal applications as time permits. They will collaborate with different internal IT teams to accomplish their projects and support areas. They will be the primary resource supporting troubleshooting items between level 2 and level 3. This individual is expected to be able to complete tasks on their own and perform troubleshooting to completion for areas listed above.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the incoming IT Support queues to triage, distribute, and troubleshoot as appropriate for incoming work orders. Includes walk-ups, e-mails and phone support.
• Able to function between level 2 and level 3 troubleshooting teams.
• Own and improve the Windows 10 deployment and support process
• Own and improve the cellphone deployment and support process
• Manage and improve the assets management process
• Use and help improve the Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environment
• Work independently on special projects as needed, including Windows servers.
• Ensure proper uniformity, documentation, and configuration control of workstations and applications.

We are looking for candidates with the following experience and requirements:

• Competent with a proven history working with Windows 10
• Experience working with Cell Phones and MDM (Android, Apple & Intune).
• Experience working with Active Directory and Microsoft 365
• Competent with managing and maintaining physical workstations, laptops, cellphones, etc.
• Experience troubleshooting the full IT stack (layer 1 - 7).
• Able to document work performed for cross pollination and repeatability.
• Able to present problems and challenges for their area of responsibility.
• Able to run Powershell commandlets.
• Able to obtain Dell Tech Direct Certification
• Motivated and energetic team player.
• Able to work independently and own tasks to completion.
• US Citizenship required.
• Must be able to work on-site in Exton, PA.

The following skills are a nice to have and would make a candidate who fulfilled the above stand out even more:

• Active TS/SCI Security clearance
• Bachelor degree in IT or equivalent.
• Experience working with Windows PowerShell scripts
• Experience working with Windows Server
• Experience with networking equipment (Cisco or Aruba preferred)
• Experience working with Linux (CentOS/RHEL preferred)
