enVista supports our clients' IT operations with customer obsessed Managed Services, Public and Private Cloud solutions, Disaster Recovery, Cyber Security Services and more. We are hiring a Level 2 Systems Administrator to join our Managed Services Operations team. The primary focus for this role is implementation and support of complex Public Cloud, Private Cloud and on-premises server infrastructure including projects and ticket escalations for current and future clients. Successful candidates will need a deep technical knowledge over a variety of technologies and passion for the customer's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, upgrade, maintain and support server systems based on client's service requests and maintenance.
  • Manages the VMware virtualization platform and ensures the installation of upgrades, patches, and new versions of all VMware components (vSphere, VCenter, Site Recovery Manager, etc.). Responsible for the administration of the VMware hardware platform that supports all virtualized systems running on the Intel platform; this includes provisioning of computing hardware as needed, applying firmware upgrades, and performing break-fix to ensure system performance, resiliency, and security.
  • Windows/Linux Operation System's installation, configuration, evaluation, upgrading, patching, monitoring, analyzing and deploying.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve recurring and incidental support issues for server and serverless O/S, and hypervisors
  • Provide remote support and resolution via phone and or remote-control screen sharing software, or onsite working directly with end-user and equipment.
  • Produce, maintain, and update technical documentation.
  • Monitor performance of hypervisor environment, servers, and server applications, identify root-cause and resolve issues.
  • Optimizing and evaluating the system regularly
  • Complete and update support tickets.
  • Ensuring that the highest quality of service is provided to promote superior customer satisfaction.
  • Bear high levels of responsibility: making decisions, being accountable.
  • Maintain technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.


Education, Skills and Experience Needed:

  • Bachelor's degree in an I.T. related field is preferred.
  • 3 years of total combined experience (Required)
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2012R2/2016/2019 (Required) and Linux (Desired)

    • 1+ years of work experience with VMWare (Required) and Hyper-V (Desired) design, implementation, and administration.
    • Experience with server operating systems.

  • Experience in providing end-user onsite or remote support for Server and hardware troubleshooting. Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with direct focus on the source of problems to solve the problem quickly and effectively (Required)
  • Experience with VDI (Citrix / Horizon View) XenApp/RDS or other VDI technologies (Desired)
  • Azure and/or AWS Cloud Migrations and Management (Desired)
  • Experience with SAN management / Fiber Channel / iSCSI (Desired)
  • Experience with a support ticketing system
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Show flexibility under changing conditions.
