What You Will Do:
As a Systems Administrator Intern at Aspire Software, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. You will work closely with our experienced Systems Administrator to support and maintain our systems, servers, and networks. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in systems administration and gaining valuable hands-on experience, particularly in the area of cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, and computer systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and resolve hardware and software problems.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access.
- Collaborate with the Infrastructure team to identify and implement system improvements and upgrades.
- Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends and developments in the field of systems administration, with a particular emphasis on Azure and other cloud technologies.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in systems administration and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Basic understanding of server hardware and configurations.
- Strong interest in Azure and other cloud technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Where You'll Work:
Our headquarters is located in Chesterfield in St. Louis County; however, some local positions will be remote until the time is right to return to the office while other roles are more office-based. Fully remote employees will stay remote.
