Systems Administrator, Senior (SA1001)
Job Description
- Configure and deploy Linux and Windows based servers.
- Analyze system logs and identify potential issues.
- Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
- Install and configure new hardware and software.
- Add, remove, or update user account information. Reset passwords.
- Responsible for documenting the configuration of the system.
- Troubleshooting any reporting problems.
- Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running.
- Configure, add, and delete file systems.
- Ensure parity between dev, test and production environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows, Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and CentOS 6.x/7.x, Oracle Enterprise Linux 7.x
- Programming Languages: SQL, Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
- Server Applications: VMWare ESXi 6.5.0, Active Directory
- Software Applications: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), Veeam Backup Software, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, IBM ClearCase, SQL*Plus, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), GTIMS & JPATS Training Management Systems, Tenable Security Center and Nessus Scanner
- Handle installation of McAfee software including Common Management Agent, Threat Prevention, HBSS, Endpoint Security, and Virus Scan Enterprise.
- Perform SCAP Scans and complete STIG Checklists in order to provide Information Assurance with necessary artifacts for RMF compliance. Ensure Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) guidelines are met.
- Must have skills: Linux / Windows admin, Active Directory
Requirements
- Security+ certification
- Security Clearance: SECRET, Interim SECRET required to begin work.
- Nice to have: MCSA, MCSE, Cisco, VMware certs
- Preferred Education and Experience: BA/BS with 8+ years relative experience
