Position Summary
Systems Administrators at Deepwatch enjoy working with cutting edge technology and platforms. They are self-driven technology fanatics who consistently tinker, tweak, learn and improve. Tasks range from provisioning macOS laptops to implementing automation systems via JAMF Pro. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, technology-centric environment, enjoys challenges with new technologies (Cloud and Mobile), streamlining traditional operations (server built and maintenance) and takes pride in enabling our employees with technology. In this role, you'll get to:
This role will have a primary responsibility of owning the day to day helpdesk ticket queue and end user interactions with a focus on delivering great customer service to our customer(s). The sysadmin will also be helping to maintain an accurate asset inventory, replace employee assets when needed and work on beta testing the latest technology and software updates.
Problems seen in the helpdesk setting are often repeatable and able to be documented. The candidate must possess the ability to compose technical documentation or user walk-through videos on commonly seen issues. This is often seen as paying it forward, so documentation can be referenced by users in the future.
This role will play a key role in helping to open the new Tampa Corporate Office later this year. The role has an expectation for mostly on-site office work when the office opens, but will allow some flexibility with working from a home office. Position will report to the Manager of Cloud & Tech Operations.
THIS ROLE WILL BE BASED IN TAMPA, FL AND REQUIRE A MIX OF ON-SITE and REMOTE WORK
To be successful in this role, you'll need to:
  • Possess 1+ year of Systems Administration or related customer service experience
  • Are organized, prioritize incoming requests, and collaborate in a team environment
  • Leverage excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Provide customer service and support to internal and external contacts
  • Have a degree in Information Security, Information Technology or a related field
  • Are able to provide:
    • macOS support for management, upgrades and deployments in the enterprise
    • JAMF Pro administration for managing macOS assets and automating routine tasks
    • Google Workspace (GSuite) administration with Gmail, GDrive, GDocs, etc experience
  • Possess experience with the following:
    • Asset management and inventory
    • Zoom, Zoom Phones, or physical Zoom Rooms
    • Single sign-on tools such as Okta
    • Endpoint security tools in an enterprise environment
    • Scripting language to automate routine tasks
  • Have familiarity with the following:
    • Role based access controls and how it applies to applications
    • Information security best practices, such as least privilege access and phishing
    • Cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Can demonstrate knowledge of the following:
    • SAML protocol and how it applies to single sign-on
    • General productivity tools, such as Adobe, Office, etc.
  • Are willing and able to travel occasionally

Colorado* Candidates:
For applicants in Colorado, the salary range for this role is $64,000 to $80,000 + bonus + commissions + stock options + benefits. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
