Job Description

Salary Range: $115K - $119K (depending on experience)

Primary Duty Responsibilities:

• Assist Team of System Administrators and Network Engineers in Maintaining the EIS server environments to provide 98% service availability.
• Coordinates planned outages and troubleshoots unplanned outages.
• Communicate with the Citizant PM on all outages.
• Applies approved and tested patches to the EIS environments.
• Reviews error logs on all servers daily.
• Performs daily system and serviceability tests.
• Performs database maintenance as needed.
• Monitors system performance and Structured Query Language (SQL) operations and performance.
• Brings SQL servers into and out of service in clustered environments and front-end servers in and out of load balance as needed.
• Repairs/rebuilds SharePoint servers as needed; submits and coordinates all system-level change requests; and remediates Classified Spills on the SharePoint systems.
• Tests patches and changes in the USSF EIS Laboratory/Data Center before application on the live systems.
• Applies patches and changes to the SharePoint environments as needed.
• Provides SharePoint Notification Banners with USSF EIS information as needed; provides technical updates and issues e-mail notifications to the USSF EIS users.
• Supports the Tier 2 Service Desk during system-level outages/service interruptions.
• Provide status updates during weekly meetings and for monthly deliverables. 
• Ensure the Risk Opportunity Registry is maintained for the Operations Team.

Highly Desired Skills:

• Possess the ability to communicate technical issues and status effectively with all levels of military and civilian personnel within USSF.
• Previous experience maintaining large-scale SharePoint farms; experience with administering/maintaining SharePoint 2013, SQL 2012, Microsoft servers, and clustered servers in an Active-Passive cluster.

Qualifications

Relevant Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field with 8+ years’ experience.
• Additional relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree requirement (i.e., Associate Degree and 10+ years’ experience or High School Diploma and 12+ years’ experience).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems with Microsoft load-balanced clustered servers.
• Strong written and oral communications – 2+ years of experience writing management reports.
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint, including managing Microsoft SQL in a clustered environment, and Microsoft System Administration skills.
• Virtual Server builds and management, and strong demonstrated troubleshooting skills.

Certification:

• The preferred prerequisite is the DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification with CompTIA Security+ CE.
• MCSA or MCSE; Windows Server Certificate of Training (strongly desired)
• SharePoint System Administration Certificate of Training (strongly desired).

Security Clearance:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have an Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
