Job Description

SUMMARY

The Systems Analyst will provide enterprise level design, implementation, management, and maintenance of all Upper Deck's high-availability business and mission critical systems. This role will help determine the business requirements and translate them into requirements documentation. This role will be part of the team that implements as well as help manage the implementation of projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create detailed functional requirements and/or user stories, including non-functional requirements.
  • Provides functional and technical support/expertise during development, implementation, testing of complex projects.
  • Research and evaluate new and updated products, features, and capabilities to ensure continual service improvement. Assist with new system selection, implementation, testing, and training.
  • Working closely with other specialists, stakeholders, and managers to understand their needs.
  • Overseeing implementation/adoption of projects.
  • Reviews and clarifies user stories and user acceptance criteria with the stakeholders, and works with development lead/technical architect to layout technical design.
  • Develops system related documentation that includes flow charts, work flow tables, mapping documents, integration specifications and provides system training
  • Create user manuals and train users on new systems and methods.
  • Manage project from inception to implementation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

INTERACTION

This position will closely interact with the Director of Technical Resources, IT team members, project stake holders and internal /external project resources.

EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in analytical, finance or operations working in a data-centric business environment.
  • Experienced in project management methodology.
  • Experienced in requirements technical gathering and requirements documentation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Advanced-level knowledge of IT standards/policies.
  • Ability to convey technical information in non-technical terms multi-task, and prioritize and manage time effectively while also ensuring accuracy of work through attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of informational technology disciplines, e.g., software applications and interfaces, production operations, quality assurance and systems management, etc.
  • Strong Problem-solving
  • Effective communication skills (explaining reports, analysis, and insights to business partners).
  • Experienced with Office365 platform including Teams, Sharepoint, Intune and Autopilot.
  • Familiar with Digital Asset Management platforms.
  • Experience in the technology field, digital solutions or platforms implementation, and agile methodology.
  • Project Management experience doing the following: manage projects to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria) by establishing clear goals and accountabilities; developing project plans and allocating resources; identifying potential issues/risks and developing contingency plans.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A high degree of confidentiality required.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, always changing environment.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, tasks and issues.
