Job Summary

The Systems Analyst will work along with business and IT partners from Merchandising and Planning team to understand business requirements and challenges and provide expertise on solutions and processes. You will work on building and maintaining applications, code within applications and systems in alignment with product and technology roadmaps. Plays a role in planning, providing advice and guidance, and monitoring emerging trends.

Job Functions

  • Work with IT and Business partners to understand the business requirements and challenges and design viable solutions to achieve desired goals.
  • Develop enhancements, build new functions and workflows. Deploy patches and maintain existing applications.
  • Product Development: Contributes to product and solution designs to address critical issues and complex problems
  • Understands technical architecture and writes software and automated tests that are aligned with agreed upon standards: Performs trouble-shooting efforts and investigations when necessary.
  • Support with upgrading the application and handling any issues.
  • Application Support: Provides ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products.
  • Advice and Guidance: Actively works with less experienced software engineers providing technical guidance and oversight
  • Work pro-actively with the extended project team to strategize on opportunities, cross-training, and knowledge transfer.
  • Emerging Technology Monitoring: Actively participates in the engineering community, staying up to date on new software technologies and best practices and shares insights with others in the organization

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
  • 3 to 5 Years of Experience working and Supporting SAS Applications such as
  • SPO (Size Optimization, Size Profiling and Pack Optimization),
  • SAS Demand Planning and Forecast Suite.
  • SAS Financial Planning or Revenue Optimization
  • 3 to 5 Years of SAS programming experience developing and maintaining Batch and Front End.
  • Experience in SAS Programming 1 and 2.
  • Experience and understanding of Retail Industry operations and IT Technologies.
  • Experience with supporting technologies like AIX/Unix, Shell Scripting, SQL, PLSQL and Databases.
  • Experience and Knowledge of SAS technology and architecture.
  • Experience realizing applications from conception, to design, implementation and support.
  • Experience with application lifecycle methodologies (e.g. agile, iterative)

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Knowledge of core components of SAS technology and architecture.
  • Experience with Building and deliver demonstrations of SAS visualization, analytics, and data science solutions.
  • SAS Product or SAS Base Programmer Certifications

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of project life cycles requirements gathering, solution architecture, solution design, development, implementation and post implementation support.
  • Collaborates with project teams on application and module design that achieves the quality attributes of performance, scalability, and availability.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fix issues with data and SAS workflows.
  • Ability to relate business and technical concepts to SAS applications and user needs.
  • Participates in product, solution and/or technical training and maintain detailed level of product
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL with relational databases (Oracle, DB2,Teradata).
  • Experience working with Retail Industry.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
