PAYROLL SYSTEMS ANALYST

JOB SUMMARY:

The Payroll Systems Analyst position is responsible for supporting centralized payroll functions for employees, vendors, and internal and external customers across the organization. This team has oversight for all system aspects of Payroll like managing the system jobs that produce payroll calculations on multiple, simultaneous pay cycles. This position is responsible for loading internal and external files, full data reconciliation and providing reports. Pay Systems generates all accounting files for balancing and distribution to various business partners. This position is also responsible for identifying system issues, partnering with Technology to resolve and testing solutions. This position provides additional support for system issues, system upgrades, and regression testing.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Job Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Business, Information Systems or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years work experience in payroll, customer service, Oracle HCM, Payroll, Time and Labor strongly desired
  • Minimum 2-3 years Peoplesoft/Oracle HCM strongly desired
  • Understanding of Cloud computing strongly desired
  • Experience with applying Labor laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act desired
  • Experience analyzing complex scenarios and balancing multiple tasks.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of payroll, HR systems, and timekeeping - as well as vendor systems and interfaces
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, processes and projects timely and accurately
  • Proficiency required in desktop applications including Microsoft Office and TEAMS
  • Cross-functional collaboration with business partners for process improvements and efficiencies
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills along with the ability to anticipate problems or concerns, and demonstrate a strong track record of effectively resolving complex problems and responding in a timely manner
  • Must be analytical, detail oriented, process driven, and comfortable with a highly structured team environment

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with other teams within Payroll, HR Service Center, and other organizations across the system to in order to achieve time sensitive deadlines

• Review and test quarterly software updates, coordinating with other functional areas as needed

  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all payroll functions and team reports
  • Operate in compliance with federal, state, and company guidelines
  • Participate, as part of a team, in job rotation/rotating roles
  • Provide process and system support
  • Utilize effective communications and networking to maintain a team environment
  • Perform other payroll related duties as assigned
