ABOUT THIS POSITION

KBR is currently seeking a mid- to senior-level Missile Defense Systems Analyst to support the development of air and missile defense systems. The candidate will be part of a team performing engineering support and analysis of army weapon systems and simulation performance for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground Tests, Flight Tests (System Pre-Mission Test and System Post-Flight Reconstruction), and Continuous Developmental Integration activities. The candidate will support the development of test scenarios, simulation integration analysis, test execution support, data analysis, and support simulation verification and validation activities. The candidate will assist with the development of material to be presented at engineering reviews that summarizes the analytical work performed.

Other activities include defining tests, generating test plans, and coordinating test plans with the test community. The candidate will provide analytical support for all test phases required for fielding of the Army weapon system. Will also support Integrated Product Teams, prepare reports, and present technical briefings to domestic customers, prepare for and support meetings, with analyses and reports and develop and maintain data reduction and analysis tools.

The ideal candidate should be a problem-solver, resourceful, independently motivated and detail oriented. The position requires good time management capabilities and communication skills.

Relocation: Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or able to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or other related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in Air & Missile Defense Weapon Systems, Data Analysis, Flight Tests/Ground System Tests
  • Able to travel about 5-10% of the time
  • Must possess the ability to clearly express ideas/concepts, perform as part of a team, and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment
  • Qualified applicants will have excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skills and take a proactive role to assure that responsibilities are completed on or ahead of schedule
  • The candidate must be able to work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, Prime contractors, and Supporting Contractor personnel
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with Patriot or a Missile Defense Agency (MDA) weapon system
  • Experience analyzing one or more BMDS elements or components including radar systems, missiles, communications systems, fire control and Battle Management, Command & Control, Communication (BMC3)
  • Experience in at least one modern programming language (SQL, Python, C/C++, C#, Java, R, etc.)
