Job Description
Job Summary: The Systems Analyst I plans and directs analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Analyzes business functions in order to develop new or modified information processing systems.
- Consults with business unit management and personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements.
- Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures.
- Writes and maintains functional specifications for new or modified business systems.
- Tracks and documents changes to functional and business specifications.
- Creates or assists others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures.
- Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests.
- Maintains user security and integrity of system data.
- Review logs to determine what causes issues and how to improve upon them
- Understanding and implementation of setting changes and upgrades in the system's infrastructure
Education: Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Word
- Excel
- High level troubleshooting
Desired Skills:
- Scripting language knowledge (Batch/Python/Powershell)
- Linux Knowledge
