Job Description
Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity within the Strategic Systems Business Unit in Huntsville, Alabama as a highly experienced Senior Systems Design Engineer well-versed in DoD weapon system development with a focus on Missile Defense System (MDS) Technology Protection, Anti-Tamper (AT) Systems, and prototyping of other technologies as required.

The applicant will:
- Serve as a Systems Design Engineer with missile defense design, development, testing, evaluation, fielding, and technical leadership experience.
- Develop and apply innovative methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of extremely complex missile defense system engineering requirements and challenging problems requiring the expert and innovative application of advanced superior knowledge. Review completion and implementation of systems additions, enhancements/upgrades and recommends corrections in technical application and analysis to technical and program management.
- Review and evaluate prime/OEM contractor objective evidence, capabilities, and provides technical consultation to other organizations as required.
- Develop, maintain, and identify improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
Job Requirements

- Serve as an engineering advisor regarding the design and development of necessary engineering analysis and documentation to support requirements generation, requirements derivation, specifications, design, integration and tests to ensure reverse engineering threats to US critical technology can be responsibly mitigated.
- Support the government team in the prevention and/or delay exploitation of critical technologies in the MDS, material hardening against reverse engineering and exploitation, and integration of robust AT defensive measures into MDS architectures.
- Provide oversight for hardware/software design, development, and testing to optimize MDS performance and effectiveness.
- Position is primarily on government site.
