Systems Director - Launch Mission Assurance Team

The National Systems Group serves as the technical adviser to the Intelligence Community and its mission partners involved in the collection and distribution of national and tactical intelligence, including electronics programs, advanced technologies, ground and communications, imagery programs, and systems engineering and launch.
We are looking for a Systems Director to support the National Reconnaissance (NRO) Office of Space Launch (OSL) Mission Assurance Team (MAT). This position serves as a member of the Launch Directorate within the Aerospace Corporation National Systems Group (NSG).
This position requires 100% on site work in El Segundo, CA
What You'll Be Doing
- Support to the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and Office of Space Launch (OSL) as primary customers.
- Provide management and leadership to an organization to implement engineering and technical readiness assessments of launch vehicle flight hardware.
- The management position is essential to the success of the organization and our customer mission execution.
- Primary functions of the role require both managerial and leadership skills and technical knowledge.
- Coordinate pertinent budgets, tasks, and priorities for the organization.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering/science with a minimum of 12 years of progressively more responsible experience
- Experience in one or more of the following: Launch vehicle systems engineering, Launch vehicle & launch site sustaining engineering, Launch vehicle system and component technical risk assessments, and/or Project management/development/leadership
- Demonstrated ability to organize and lead technical teams
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Able to lead and inspire others in building high performance, diverse teams
- Ability to develop strong relationships through communication that builds trust and teaming
- Willing to travel [domestically/internationally] approximately 25% - 35%
- This position requires a current and active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
It would be impressive if you have one or more of the following
- Masters, or PhD degree in engineering fields
- Launch vehicle systems background
- Launch base booster processing experience
- Systems engineering/chief engineer experience
- Management and leadership role experience
We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$158,000 - $212,000 - $258,000
Pay Basis: Annual
