The Observability Engineer will provide hands-on experience in design and engineering efforts implementing enterprise observability and monitoring solutions. This includes design, management and support of Dynatrace, including logging, continuous monitoring, monitoring as code, and including all necessary tooling in private and public cloud.

You will collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure Architecture, Operations, Security, Development, and Business units to execute on large-scale projects, operationalize technologies, and grow the adoption of standards & processes.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in Hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Mgr., Observability

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

• Participate in Agile projects and attend ceremonies.

• Maintain the design, management, and adoption of enterprise observability and monitoring solutions, including logging, continuous monitoring, and monitoring as code.

• Provide guidance and support for escalated incidents and problems.

• Support and operationalize technology standards, processes and policies related to Systems and Cloud.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in software development or computer engineering or minimum 2 years of experience working in a senior technical or engineering position.

• Hands-on experience implementing and managing Cloud Infrastructure and Application Monitoring/Logging solutions (Dynatrace, DataDog, Splunk, New Relic)

• Hands-on experience implementing and managing container orchestrators such as Kubernetes on private and public Cloud Platforms.

• Strong understanding of agile methodologies (kanban, scrum), including experience as a delivery lead, product owner, or platform owner.

• High proficiency in implementing and using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management (Ansible, Terraform).

• Comprehensive Linux skills.
